This lecture will examine the work of Robert Rantoul and his apothecary while exploring the use of herbal and exotic remedies, poisons, and many other unusual and interesting tonics, potions, lotions, and medicines. Learn about some of the ailments afflicting Beverly residents in the past such as dysentery, dropsy, and bilious while finding out about the remedies used to heal and bring about good health.
