Reproduction Rights and Permissions

The Historic Beverly Research Library and Archives provides reproduction and permissions services for both visiting and long-distance researchers. All fees must be paid in advance of service when invoiced. A complete schedule for reproduction and permissions fees is available below.

Requests for reproductions and/or permissions to use images for publication or exhibition must be made in writing and submitted with a Digital Images Request and Permission to Publish Form.  Fees are charged per image, per format.

Mailing Fees:
A $5.00 shipping and handling fee will be added to all domestic mail orders. (Small orders can be scanned to PDF and emailed, thus saving the $5 mailing fee).

Reproduction fees:
Photocopy: .50 each
8 x 10 print or scan: $20 b/w, $30 color; 50% reduction for more than 5 scans

Providing scanned images does not convey permission to publish. Reproduction orders are processed after payment is received and may take up to one week to complete. Rush services are available for an additional fee.

We require that a credit line be included adjacent to every image if used in any public format. Please include the proper credit line of: “Courtesy of Historic Beverly”

Permission fees per image:
Permissions are separate from image reproduction fees. Permissions are for one-time use only; releases and new editions require a new permission request.
